State of Affairs: I have a bone to pick with wordpress

Now I know that my website is made courtesy of WordPress, and I am currently writing this blogpost on WordPress, but I have some words.

This is, of course, not a particularly novel thing for an author (albeit an aspiring one) to have, but these are not what one might call, “kind words”.

Having spent the last two weeks trying to remove the padding on the header zone of my initial website theme, wasting approximately 10 hours, four charges of my laptop battery, 10% of my will to live, and culminating in the coughing up of $80 for a premium subscription allowing me to ultimately delve into the dark, dreary and depressing world otherwise known as “CSS”, I have finally achieved what I have set out to do. Now possessing almost no further insights into the elusive “CSS” and about 4 hours down the drain on tutorial videos, I have found the solution. Change the WordPress Theme.

You lot better appreciate this website.
