State of Affairs: Book 2 The Way of Water is Complete!

So despite every piece of advice saying that one should not work on the sequel before finding an agent for the first book, I have not only planned book 2, but have written it. Call me a rebel.

They say you should focus on a new project during the tortuous experience sometimes referred to as “finding an agent”, get your mind off things. Of course, this nebulous “they” also specifies quite clearly that this “new project” should ideally be something unrelated to the book being queried. Well I’ve fulfilled half of the requirements. I solid 50% effort. I’ll take it.

In other news, the querying process continues, with the timer for self-publishing steadily ticking forwards. I have not yet decided if I will write another book by the end of the year, and am still mulling over ideas for my first murder mystery “A Murder Most Monstrous”. It will be written eventually, don’t you fret (though I imagine this is hardly something keeping my readers up at night), and I am looking forward to delving into something a little less high fantasy, and a little more frivolous.
